Texas Style Hickory Sausage

Ingredients:

  • 5 High Plains Hickory Smoked Bison Sausage
  • butter top buns
  • your favorite chili
  • onion, chopped
  • jalapeno, chopped
  • cheddar cheese

Cooking Instructions:

1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil.  Add sausages and reduce heat to simmer.  Cook until sausages have reached an internal temperature of 160° or 5-7 minutes.    

2. Cook or warm your favorite chili.  

3. Remove sausages from water and place in buns.  Top with all other ingredients.
